Man undrar om de 30 miljoner man inom kort kommer att lägga på en idrottshall inte kunde få bättre användning. Men det är klart – i en sådan kommun behöver bara den Grå Massan den kultur som kommer via TV3…
Are you rejecting everything Swedish, sir?
Yes, I am.
Even Föreningen Heimdal is Swedish, sir. So is Swedish history before Swedish society came to be ruined by the modernists.
I can understand why you don’t want to be associated with modernist Swedish society, but really? Everything?
Sweden is too small and too narrow-minded, and hence the contempt is mutual. Sweden is built upon (perhaps seductive) lies and an oppressing political correctness. Even Föreningen Heimdal is for different reasons affected by the disease, that has turned Sweden into what it is today.
I have no doubt, sir, that the contempt is mutual.
I have to withstand the PC in the oil kingdom, but I have heard it is worse in our Eastern neighbor kingdom.
I fully understand why you would reject the contemporary Swedish identity.
However, is it not so that the contemporary Swedish identity that the modernists have created is at least in part based on a rejection, denial, or suppression of a lot of Swedish heritage? If so, is not a rejection of everything Swedish also an acceptance of this rejection, denial, or suppression?
The Battle of Sweden is already lost. The Swedes are either bad soldiers or despicable traitors. Or perhaps they are just simple fools.
Sweden is our Brideshead — a dilapidated castle with its pride and glory past and its bailiffs are not interested in any restoration. They want to tear it down and build another shopping centre just as they did with Marchmain House.
A lot of people consider the Old South, Old Austria, Old Europe (pre-1914), and pre-1905 or pre-1884 Norway lost causes.
However, people still fight for them, to various degrees of course.
As Russell Kirk said, nothing is lost forever, for nothing is won forever, and this too shall pass.
But I am just one person and I have to survive too. Thus I have to flee.
I have seen a few other Swedes in the blogosphere who would at least partly overlap with your philosophy. But of course, one or a few makes little difference.
I fully understand the need to live and survive, and fleeing the country may be the right solution for you personally. I will not judge.
However, even if one abandons one’s old homeland and puts little or no resources into any restoration, that need not imply that one philosophically gives up.
